History of the
Kansas City Parochial Softball League
KCPSL's Rookie Season - 2004
For years, a loosely organized parochial softball league had existed in south Kansas City. Each summer, it provided many girls the enjoyment of playing ball. As the need for a formally organized league was recognized, a group of interested parents formed the Kansas City Parochial Softball League.
The Kansas City Parochial Softball League was established in the spring of 2004. It began its "rookie season" on May 16, 2004 at Sunnyside Park in south Kansas City serving six parochial schools of the Kansas City-St. Joseph Diocese:
- Christ the King
- Notre Dame de Sion
- St. Elizabeth
- St. Peter
- St. Thomas More
- Visitation
